Greetings,
On behalf of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research and the local organizing committee, I cordially invite you to the 14th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics that will be held from October 10th to 14th, 2022 in Nanjing, China.
Ecohydraulics is a rapidly developing interdiscipline of ecology and hydraulics brought about by the ever-growing concern of aquatic and riparian ecology. Launched in 1994, the International Symposia on Ecohydraulics aims to provide a platform for scientists and engineers worldwide to discuss cutting-edge scientific progresses, compare and evaluate state-of-the-art technical methods, and recommend them to the end-users.
The 14th edition of the symposia will have 6 keynote sessions and 40 general sessions under the themes of “Ecohydraulics in Practice” and “Fundamentals of Ecohydraulics”. There will be another 10 special sessions. For the details of the themes please refer to https://2022ise.iahr.org/en/web.
We are expecting you to present at the symposium and share the latest advancement of your research with the international scientific community. Please submit your abstract at https://2022ise.iahr.org/en/reg/info/231 before January 15th, 2022.
Nanjing was the capital of ten dynasties in the Chinese history. It boasts numerous historic sites and splendid cultural heritages. The symposium will be held in Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, a modern convention center on the scenic Yangtze riverfront inaugurated in 2018. Favorite tourist attractions like Gate of China, Confucius Temple, Chaotian Palace, Former Presidential Palace, Nanjing Museum, Xuanwu Lake, and the Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen are all no more than 16km away and easily accessible by public transportation.
The current quarantine policy of Jiangsu Province, of which Nanjing is the capital, is that passengers to China must take nucleic tests five days before departure. Tests shall be carried out in facilities designated or recognized by overseas Chinese Embassies or Consulates. Chinese passengers are required to take photos of and upload their negative results of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests using the international version of the health QR code mini program on WeChat. Foreign passengers should apply with the Chinese Embassies or Consulates for the Health Declaration Letter with negative test results of COVID-19. Those entering Nanjing/Jiangsu from overseas will be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine for medical observation at a designated place + a 14-day at-home quarantine.
We are expecting the current quarantine policy will change by the time the symposium is convened. Otherwise, the symposium will most likely have the Chinese attending onsite and the foreigners attending online. The change of the quarantine policy of Jiangsu Province will be updated online at https://2022ise.iahr.org/en/web and notified to the attendees by e-mail as soon as possible.
We are looking forward to meeting you in the fall of 2022 in Nanjing.
Sincerely yours,
LOC of the 14th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics
